Innovate Australia and the Australia and New Zealand Driverless Vehicle Initiative (ADVI) are excited to announce the launch of the ADVI Victorian Driverless Vehicle Innovation Award. The award will be presented at the ARRB Inaugural Gala Dinner and Awards Night which is being held at the Sea Life Melbourne Aquarium on Friday 21st July, 2017.

The ADVI Victorian Driverless Vehicle Innovation Award is designed to recognise the Victorian organisation that has initiated, developed and/or delivered over the previous year, a new and innovative piece of research, product, program, service, legislation, business model or other innovation or achievement that has, or will, play a key role in accelerating the safe and successful introduction of driverless vehicles on Australian roads.
The selection criteria for the award will consider strategic significance, innovation, impact, future development, scalability, recognition and the Xfactor. Peter Kasprzak, Chief Executive Officer, Innovate Australia said, “Victoria is at the forefront of technology and innovation in autonomous vehicles, and our association with ADVI aims to promote further excellence for the benefit of the state.”
“The launch of this award is a great way to recognise the achievements of Victorian organisations and demonstrates just how far Victoria has come in paving the way for the introduction of selfdriving vehicles”, Peter Damen, Chair of Executive Steering Committee, ADVI.
The call for nominations is now open for the ADVI Victorian Driverless Vehicle Innovation Award.
