SUMMARY:Autonomous Road Transport – A Systems Approach
DESCRIPTION:Connected and Autonomous Vehicles have been an upward trending topic over the past decade. While the concept continues to be catalysed by technological innovation\, the roadmap to implementation has been limited due to the increase in the complexity of the open environment. This hybrid NSP session brings together four speakers presenting on the opportunity context\, followed by a Q&A discussion forum. \nJohn Wall will present on the “Future Vehicles & Technology Program” as a roadmap for the development of relevant national policies and standards. \nGreg Giraud will discuss Systems Integration and Engineering challenges related to CAVs. \nMiranda Blogg will present on the initiative\, with a focus on vehicle connectivity and information security. \nJon Sciortino will present his experience with integration and assurance\, highlighting learnt lessons from the energy and mining sectors. \n
